Web Abstract
Intelligent Surveillance Data Retriever (ISDR) for Smart city Applications, Grant No.-7794/2016. IMPRINT by Make in India, Project Value: 3.70 Crore, PI: Dr. Santos Kumar Das, Dept. of EC, NIT Rourkela, Odisha.
Abstract
The massive data coming out of different security cameras is impossible to analyse or need a specific approach to be quantified. We are proposing a state-of-the-art solution where we can quantify the existing video data in real time which can be used for different purposes like business, security, traffic monitoring etc. these can not only reduce the human efforts continuously monitoring different IP cameras/CCTV, but also help cities to be created smarter and safer.
Objectives
The main aim is to develop a product that meets the following key objectives.
Hardware:
- An embedded system with high speed multi-mode transceivers and IoT protocols for real time video and sensor data
- Plug and play Integration of weather, pollution sensors
- Over the air programming (OTAP), debugging and control
IoT Platform:
- A secure and generic IoT platform for retrieval, transmission and online display
- Real-time data analysis and prediction for efficient traffic management and navigation.
- Suspicious activity detection based on events.
- Tracking of objects that include human, vehicle or any suspicious items.
- Accident detection and automatic intimation.
