Web Abstract
Albumin is the most abundant protein in the circularity system and plays a vital role in biological systems (maintenance of oncotic pressure and acid-base equilibrium, transportation of fatty acids). Because of its cruciality, monitoring of albumin level in different bio-fluids becomes an advanced strategy for detecting different diseases in their commencement steps.Though urine dip-stick model is very common in market to detect albumin in urine but the high detection limit, interference of the color of bio-fluid and other significant factors restricted it from analyzing microalbuminuria and other nephritic disorders in their early stages. Therefore, a suitable long emissive Near Infra-Red (NIR)fluorescent turn–on dye based microfluidic point of care testing system for precise quantification of albumin in urine would help in detecting many health disorders in premature phase. This strategy will overcome the pitfall of present day albumin detection methods as well as accelerate the detection process at relatively lower costs.
