Project Title
Extreme Point of Care Diagnostics on a CD
Web Abstract
A large section of rural population does not have proper access to their basic healthcare needs. A comprehensive primary care to all in under-resourced environment can only be met through the development of a low cost, innovative and effective technology. In this context, we aim to develop a promising solution to accomplish the development of an advanced commercial prototype based on a WiFi integrated centrifugal microfluidics-based compact disk (CD) platform. Integration with an automated signal acquisition and subsequent result analysis is still a major concern in environmentally-challenged scenarios and will be explored in this project.
